The Beginning
1919 With a total investment of $1,000, Harry D. Cushman incorporates Ferro Enameling Company, producing porcelain enamel frit in a plant at East 56th Street in Cleveland. Frit is a complex glass that is a core ingredient in porcelain enamel.
